E-J Electric workers survive tragedy
Nine electricians from E-J Electric Installation Co. escaped from the World Trade Center before the 110-story twin towers collapsed. “We had a total of 12 people down there, nine of who were working that day,” said Tony Mann, president of E-J Electric, Long Island City, N.Y. “Thank God all of them got out alive. Towering security
CEE News published a cover story titled "Towering Security" in its October 2000 issue. Staff Writer Amy Fischbach traveled to New York City to interview Jim Usher, vice president of E-J Electric Installation Co., Long Island City, N.Y. Usher discussed E-J's extensive work on the buildings' security system. A year later, Usher was working in the sublevel of Tower 2 when the first airplane crashed into Tower 1.
